Privacy policy

This is a draft written with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) in mind. Before launch, check that it matches the services you actually use, and have it reviewed by a professional if needed. (Delete this note once confirmed.)

TechStarterWeb Consulting ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you contact us through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry, email us or message us, you may give us:

• Your name
• Contact details such as email, phone number, WhatsApp number, WeChat ID, LINE ID or Xiaohongshu (RED) account
• Where you are based (for example Singapore, Hong Kong or Taiwan)
• Information about your work or brand, your website needs and your budget

The website also keeps visit statistics so we can see how it is used: which pages are viewed, which website you came from (the domain only), your approximate country or region, and whether you're on a phone or a computer. No cookies are used and your IP address is not stored, so these statistics cannot identify you personally.

How we use it

• To reply to your enquiry
• To prepare quotes, contracts, and to build and maintain your website
• To improve this website

We do not sell your personal data or share it with third parties for purposes unrelated to the above.

Services we use

To run this website, we use the following providers. Your data may be stored or processed by them, including outside Singapore:

• Cloudflare: website hosting, storage of enquiry form data, and analytics
• Google (Gmail): receiving and replying to email
• The messaging app you choose (WhatsApp, WeChat, LINE or Xiaohongshu): to communicate with you, under that app's own privacy policy

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don't lead to a project are deleted within TBD, e.g. 1 year. Client data is deleted within TBD after the contract ends, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.

Your choices and rights

Under the PDPA, you may ask us at any time to:

1. Give you access to the personal data we hold about you, and how it has been used
2. Correct personal data that is inaccurate or incomplete
3. Stop using your personal data by withdrawing your consent
4. Delete your personal data

If you are in another country or region, you may also have rights under your local data protection law. If you choose not to provide personal data, or withdraw your consent, we may not be able to reply to your enquiry or provide our services.
